The spectacular neon turquoise-blue Paraiba tourmaline is currently the hottest collector's gemstone, prices steeper than fine diamonds due to its rarity.

Discovered in the 1980's in the Brazilian state of Paraiba this electric blue had never before been seen in gemstones. Once cut and faceted it unleashes an intense fire, glowing in the dark due to high levels of copper content. Though extremely coveted, only a number of collectors in the world are in possession of this unmatched precious stone.

The fiery orange garnet known to many by the term 'Mandarin Garnet' is a feast for the eyes. Discovered in 1991 in a remote part of Namibia, it is an ideal colour for all occasions with a relatively high refractive index, which gives it unusually strong brilliance. Even in unfavourable light conditions, small, brilliant-cut specimens still sparkle with great vivacity. Only a confident woman would be able to wear a Mandarin Orange garnet with presence, as showing this colour indicates true confidence, a one definitely for individualists.
