Emerald

Aztecs and Incas worshipped holy emeralds in their Temples. Cleopatra and Elizabeth Taylor were both famous emerald collectors.

These rich green gems from the Beryl group are coloured by chromium, and emeralds often have inclusions called a jardin, which provides clues to their country of origin - Columbia, Brazil, Pakistan and Zambia.
