DESIGNER'S NOTE:

October’s birthstone is the varied and versatile tourmaline. It’s name derives from the Sinhalese “turmali”, meaning mixed. Hot pinks called rubellite, pink and green stones called watermelon tourmaline and the Tanzanian fine rich green stones are everyone’s favourite, as well as the rare and expensive turquoise-blue Paraiba tourmaline. When a tourmaline crystal is rubbed it becomes electrically charged and will attract dust particles due to the positive and negative energy at the either end. Popularly used in crystal healing, tourmaline is the eighth wedding anniversary ‘s gemstone, and is said to encourage artistic intuition.
